The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres worldwide. It defines high level environmental criteria along the entire supply chain of organic textiles and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
Only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibres can become certified according to GOTS. All chemical inputs such as dyestuffs and auxiliaries used must meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria Products are labelled with “organic” and the GOTS logo.
Due to this certification the TVU group can offer organic cotton as greige yarn as well as dyed yarn.

IVN certified BEST is currently the highest reachable level concerning organic requirements. All criteria of the Global Organic Textile Standard are fulfilled. Due to the higher demands of the IVN the selection of applicable auxiliaries and dyestuffs is restricted. Only products of 100% organic textiles (excluding accessories) can be certified.

Audiiting and assessment according to Oeko-Tex Standard 1000, part A (production sites) have shown that the above mentioned production domains meet the productsion-ecological requirements of the standard presently established.
